However, the IMO resolutions maintain the obligation for seafarers to know the procedure for deter-mining the position of the ship based on the use of astronomical position lines, a process known simply as the "Intercept Method". As is well known, the classical "Intercept Method" involves a graphical stage aimed to determine the geographical coordinate of Fix position. This paper presents a combined method which eliminates the graphical construction which may involve plotting errors.
