Problems still exist in its reliable use for navigational operation. Our paper is part of a wider evaluation of AIS. This paper considers the users view of AIS and we have attempted to measure the extent of navigators? satisfaction with AIS in their navigation activities by using an AIS User Satisfaction Model. This paper evaluates the validity of the AIS User Satisfaction Model using questionnaire data as a suitable structure for measuring the degree of navigators? satisfaction and usage of AIS, and probably applies for other similar technologies. This, in turn, could help to determine the measures that need to be adopted in order to improve quality and use of AIS as an effective navigation and anti-collision tool. %@ 2083-6473
